For the last year, STLT has taken part in the Institutional Data Use project run by the Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) The project aims to help the higher education sector use institutional data to generate evidence about which initiatives are effective in supporting student success and reducing equality gaps. We provided data on and helped evaluate a low-stakes assessment project in the School of Computing and Engineering, alongside a series of discussions and workshops on setting up apropriate data, reporting and evaluation procedures in a higher education institution.
The project’s overall outputs are gathered at TASO website. We will also use this experience to analyse and evaluate educational interventions for the Access and Participation Plan.
