Toni, like Rohan before her, has actually been a doctor for a good while now, but only now we were able to put a hat on it. It is my great pleasure to congratulate Toni on successful completion of her doctoral thesis “Investigation into the parameters influencing the efficacy of scalp cooling to prevent chemotherapy-induced alopecia”. She is now Dr Toni Brooks and the third alumnus of the BrykLab. Or rather a two-and-a-half alumnus, given that Toni started her MRes-turned-PhD with Dr Nik Georgopoulos and me, on his project and with his group’s resources. When Nik moved to Sheffield Hallam, Toni stayed with me to continue working on the analysis of scalp cooling results in patients and to finish her PhD.
It was always a pleasure to work with Toni, and it is great to see her doing good work as a postdoc with Dr Lewis Quayle at Sheffield Hallam. Well done all around :-)
