As you might have heard elsewhere ;-), this Autumn we are organising a PGR and ECR-led conference: Programming for Evolutionary Biology Conference. From September 2-6 we are taking over an entire YHA Hostel in Buttermere in the Lake District for four days of talks and workshops. Here is the excerpt from the conference website:

The Programming for Evolutionary Biology (PEB) conference brings together scientists broadly interested in applying bioinformatic tools to answer evolutionary and ecological questions. Unlike other conferences featuring mostly talks and poster sessions, it aims to serve as a platform for discussing common programming pitfalls encountered during research and features workshops to further develop participants’ bioinformatic skills.

The conference is informal and cheap (£275 all inclusive except travel), so go ahead and apply :-): - Preliminary programme (you can propose your own workshop idea at registration) - Registration form email us if you’re still thinking of applying - Payment form deadline at midnight on July 31st
